ياعلي: ينبغي أن يكون في المؤمن ثمان خصال :وقارٌعند الهزاهز , وصبر عند البلاء,وشكر عند الشدة والرخاء
وقنوع بمارزقه الله عز وجل ,لايظلم الأعداء ,ولايتحامل على الأصدقاء,بدنه منه في تعب, والناس منه في راحة

ياعلي: أربعة لاترد لهم دعوة :إمام عادل ,ووالد لولده, والرجل يدعو لأخيه بظهر الغيب , والمظلوم ,يقول الله عز وجل :وعزتي وجلالي لأنتصرن لك ولوبعد حين.
ياعلي: ثمانية إن أهينوا فلا يلوموا إلا أنفسهم : الذاهب إلى مائدة لم يدع اليها,والمتأمر على رب البيت ,وطالب الخيرمن أعدائه ,وطالب من اللئام ,والداخل بين اثنين في سر لم يدخلاه فيه ,والمستخف بالسلطان ,والجالس في مجلس ليس له بأهل ,والمقبل بالحديث على من لايسمع له .
ياعلي: حرم الله تعالى الجنة على كل فاحش بذيء,لايبالي ماقال له ولاماقيل له.
ياعلي: طوبى لمن طال عمره وحسن عمله .
ياعلي: لاتمزح فيذهب بهاؤك ,لاتكذب فيذهب نورك وأياك وخصلتين الضجر والكسل فأنك أن ضجرت لم تصبر على حق وأن كسلت لم تؤد حقا .
ياعلي: لكل ذنب توبة ألاسوء الخلق فإن صاحبه كل ما خرج من ذنب دخل في ذنب .
ياعلي: أربعة أسرع شئ عقوبة :
الأولى: رجل أحسنت اليه ,فكافأك بالإحسان إساءة.
الثانيه: رجل لاتبغي عليه,وهويبغي عليك .
الثالثة: رجل عاهدته على أمر فوفيت له ,وغدر بك.
الرابعة : رجل وصل قرابته فقطعوه
ياعلي: من استولى عليه الضجر رحلت عنه الراحة

وطالب الخير من أعدائه
